In a harrowing incident that unfolded last week, a 32-year-old beauty store manager in East Los Angeles is now battling for her life in critical condition. The distressing event took place during a robbery at M Beauty, situated at 5555 Whittier Boulevard in Commerce, around 5:30 p.m. on March 6, and was captured by surveillance cameras.
The video reveals a chilling scene where four female suspects, in their attempt to flee, encounter the store manager who bravely positions herself to block their escape. In a violent response, the suspects aggressively push her aside, drag her outside by her hair, and forcefully throw her to the ground.
Despite her efforts to stand, the 32-year-old manager succumbed to the ground, overwhelmed by medical complications that ensued. Enrique Sandoval, the victim’s father, expressed in Spanish the dire situation his daughter faces, as she clings to life.
The aftermath of the robbery has left the manager with severe trauma, to the extent that doctors are considering a heart transplant as a means for her survival.
Robert Marquez, the victim’s boyfriend, shared with KTLA’s Carlos Saucedo the heartbreaking details of the assault. He recounted how the slippery conditions exacerbated the attack, leading to his partner’s fall. He also revealed that this wasn’t the first instance of theft targeting the cosmetics store.
Currently, the authorities are on the lookout for the four female suspects, who made their escape in a white vehicle and are wanted for attempted murder.
As the victim’s family grapples with this tragedy, their hope remains for the apprehension of the culprits. Marquez, speaking of his girlfriend, described her as the most resilient person he’s ever known. He pleaded for justice and urged anyone with information to come forward to assist in resolving this devastating situation.
