Insider sources have revealed to Deadline that the critically acclaimed FX on Hulu series, which secured a renewal for its third season last November, is also set to film a fourth season consecutively in Chicago.
Though the announcement for a fourth season hasn’t been made official, and FX representatives have opted not to comment, the buzz around “The Bear” filming additional episodes beyond its third season has been growing. This discussion began circulating through Chicago’s local media outlets over the recent week.
This development has sparked speculation about whether these consecutive seasons might signal the end of the beloved restaurant comedy series. This situation mirrors the conclusion of another celebrated FX comedy, “Atlanta,” which concluded after filming its third and fourth seasons back-to-back.
However, the future beyond the fourth season remains open, with a fifth season still being a possibility. The decision to film seasons three and four consecutively is partly due to scheduling conflicts, as stars Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri are in high demand for feature film roles. White, in particular, has already made a name for himself as a leading actor with his performance in “The Iron Claw.”
