Two Suspects Apprehended Following Attempted Car Theft Incident

In the early hours of a Thursday morning, two individuals were caught by the police in the act of trying to break into cars at a car dealership. This dealership had already been hit by car thieves just three days prior.

The incident unfolded at the CR Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership located in Adrian, Michigan. It was around 1:20 a.m. when Michigan State Police, along with Lenawee County deputies and a Madison Township officer, spotted the four suspects. They were all wearing ski masks, attempting to infiltrate vehicles in the dealership’s lot.

The officers tried to approach the suspects, but they ran away. A chase ensued, leading to one suspect being discovered hiding in a dumpster near an Aldi store, not far from the dealership. Another was caught trying to exit the city of Adrian during a traffic stop.

These two were then taken to the Lenawee County Jail. They faced several charges, including motor vehicle theft and resisting arrest. Their names have not been disclosed as they await their court appearance.

This incident is still under investigation, as two of the suspects remain at large. It is believed to be connected to a previous car theft at the same dealership on March 11.

The police are urging anyone with information about this crime to come forward and contact the Michigan State Police Monroe Post. This call for public assistance is part of an ongoing effort to solve this case and prevent future incidents.
