The Carolina Hurricanes will miss Teuvo Teravainen for the second game in a row due to an upper-body injury as they face the Ottawa Senators this Sunday.
Rod Brind’Amour, the team’s coach, mentioned yesterday before the game that Teravainen didn’t feel good following Thursday’s victory against Florida. He later confirmed that Teravainen would be absent from tonight’s game as well.
With Teravainen sidelined, the coaching staff had to shuffle their lineup. They made significant changes again during the latter part of last night’s victory.
One of the most notable adjustments was Jake Guentzel teaming up with Sebastian Aho for the first time. The team also brought back the reliable trio of Jordan Martinook, Jordan Staal, and Jesper Fast. It’s uncertain if these new combinations will remain or if the team will revert to the lineup they began with in last night’s game.
Regarding the goalie position, it’s a toss-up between Frederik Andersen and Spencer Martin.
Pyotr Kochetkov secured the win last night in Toronto. Since Andersen’s return earlier this month, the team has been alternating between him and Kochetkov. However, with Martin signing a one-year contract extension yesterday, he might get a chance to play.
Andersen has been outstanding since his comeback on March 7, boasting a record of 3-0-0, a goals against average (GAA) of 1.01, and a save percentage (SV%) of .955.
Meanwhile, Martin performed admirably in Andersen’s absence, achieving a record of 4-0-1 since being picked up on waivers in January. Martin’s last game was on February 29 in Columbus.

Injuries include Jack Drury with a lower-body injury and Teuvo Teravainen with an upper-body injury. Tony DeAngelo will be a healthy scratch.
