The Metro Nashville Police Department in Tennessee has made a significant discovery in the case of Riley Strain, a missing University of Missouri college student. His bank card was found near the Cumberland River on Sunday afternoon. The police shared this update on X, emphasizing their ongoing efforts to locate him.
A body was spotted floating in the Cumberland River around 1 p.m. on Sunday. However, officials from the Nashville Fire Department have confirmed that it does not match the description of Strain.
In a related development, Luke Bryan’s Nashville bar disclosed that Strain had consumed one alcoholic drink and two glasses of water before he was asked to leave the premises on the night of his disappearance.
Nashville police recently shared an update on their search for Riley Strain. The senior from the University of Missouri was last seen on March 8, walking along Gay Street after spending time at Luke Bryan’s bar on Broadway Street. This information was confirmed by both his family and the Metro Nashville Police Department.
Strain was in Nashville with his fraternity brothers for a spring formal trip, as reported by Fox 17 Nashville. He was escorted out of the bar by staff due to his level of intoxication and told his friends he would walk back to their hotel, Tempo by Hilton, located about five blocks from Luke’s 32 Bridge.
The Nashville police and Strain’s family have reached out to homeless individuals near the river who might have seen him after his disappearance.
The TC Restaurant Group, which manages Luke’s 32 Bridge, has been cooperating with the police, providing detailed accounts of Strain’s time at their venue. They confirmed that Strain was served one alcoholic drink and two waters before being escorted out due to their conduct standards.
Strain’s phone last signaled its location between 10 and 10:30 p.m. near Public Square Park, close to the sheriff’s office and the Cumberland River.
