Fatal Shooting at Jacksonville Beach Bar Leaves One Dead, Two Wounded; Manhunt for Suspect Ongoing

In Jacksonville Beach, Florida, a serious situation unfolded as police rushed to the scene of an active shooter incident. Tragically, this event resulted in one person losing their life, as confirmed by reports from our sister station WJXT.

The authorities have reported that a total of three individuals were shot during this incident. Currently, a manhunt for the responsible individual or individuals is in progress. The police are diligently working to determine whether this was the act of a lone shooter or if multiple suspects were involved.

Sadly, the shooting claimed one life while leaving two others injured. The incident took place in the bustling beachfront bar district amidst St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. As a result, the area has been closed off until further notice.

The public has been strongly advised to steer clear of the area for their safety. With spring break celebrations in full swing, law enforcement agencies throughout the state have been on high alert. Earlier in the month, Governor DeSantis revealed that 17 law enforcement agencies had sought additional support from Florida Highway Patrol troopers to manage the influx of spring breakers. It’s important to note, the Jacksonville Beach Police Department had not requested such assistance.

If anyone has information that could aid the Jacksonville Beach police in their investigation, they are encouraged to contact 904-270-1661. As this situation continues to develop, we commit to providing updates as soon as more information becomes available.
