In Cleveland, the Fox 8 I-Team is currently investigating a shooting incident. This event involved reports of gunfire aimed at officers, return fire from the police, and one individual getting injured.
This incident took place early in the morning on the east side of the city, specifically near East 105th Street and Garfield Avenue.
The President of the Cleveland Police Union has confirmed that this was indeed a police-involved shooting. Fortunately, no officers were harmed during the incident.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, in collaboration with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department, is working on the crime scene to gather more details.
According to sources within law enforcement, the officers were on-site when a woman was being targeted and shot at.
At a certain point during the incident, police officers had to discharge their firearms.
