In Saratoga Springs, New York, a significant arrest unfolded as the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office took 25-year-old Tamaryn Bennett into custody. The arrest occurred on Thursday after authorities executed a search warrant at Bennett’s residence. Bennett now faces a staggering 20 felony charges, marking a significant crackdown by local law enforcement.
The charges against Bennett are severe and varied, including two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree and six counts of the same charge in the third degree. Additionally, Bennett is charged with the criminal manufacture of an undetectable firearm and 11 counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. These charges reflect the seriousness of the offenses and the potential threat posed to the community.
The arrest was the culmination of a collaborative effort involving the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Team and Narcotics Unit, the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Saratoga Police Department. The operation targeted Bennett’s residence at 79 Quevic Drive in Saratoga Springs, following an in-depth investigation.
During the search, authorities uncovered substantial quantities of illegal substances, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, Xanax, suboxone, and cocaine. The discovery underscores the extensive nature of Bennett’s alleged criminal activities and the potential harm to the community.

Police found multiple 3D printers actively used to create firearm receivers for handguns and a MAC-10 machine gun, along with a 3D-printed firearm silencer and several high-capacity ammunition devices. An additional search at a property on Shippee Road in the town of Day led to the discovery of an AR-15 rifle equipped with high-capacity magazines, further highlighting the gravity of the situation.
Following his arrest, Bennett was arraigned in Milton Town Court and subsequently remanded to the Saratoga County Jail without the possibility of bail. This decisive action by law enforcement aims to underscore the seriousness with which such offenses are treated and the commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the community.
