In Marion County, SC, deputies are on the lookout for a 52-year-old woman missing since Tuesday. She is known for her work as a paramedic in another Pee Dee county.
Phonesia Machado was last seen at her home in Marion, located on Wildwood Loop.
She is employed as a paramedic by the Florence County Emergency Medical Services, a fact confirmed by the agency on Facebook.
The sheriff’s office has described Machado as being 5’2″ tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. At the time she went missing, she was believed to be driving a white BMW DX7C, with the South Carolina tag EA1523.
A vehicle fitting the description of the one Machado was last seen driving was found at a scene related to the investigation of a New Mexico state police officer’s death, as reported by our NBC affiliate KOB.
The spokesperson for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Tammy Erwin, has confirmed that the investigation into Machado’s disappearance is being conducted by multiple agencies, although the specific agencies involved have not been disclosed.
Erwin stated that the MCSO is striving to uncover more details and will share information as it becomes available.
