A man was taken into custody by police for allegedly making threats against a business in Orange County and for having a rifle in his vehicle.
The Garden Grove Police Department shared on Instagram last Friday that they were investigating a man for making threats towards employees of a local business during what seemed to be a disagreement over a contract.
The man reportedly warned the employees that he was armed with a gun and threatened to shoot them.
During their investigation, authorities identified the suspect as 61-year-old Stephen Joseph Strigas and found that he had several firearms registered under his name.
The police arrested Strigas at his workplace in Fontana on Thursday. At the time of his arrest, an AR-10 rifle along with ammunition was discovered in his car.
Additionally, law enforcement officers seized more firearms and ammunition after carrying out a search warrant at his home in San Bernardino County.
Strigas was then taken to Orange County Jail, where he was held on charges of making criminal threats.
