Springfield Man Arrested in Connection with East Lyme Assault and Stalking Case

In East Lyme, Connecticut, a man from Springfield, Massachusetts, was apprehended on a Friday night due to an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the East Lyme Police Department.

The arrest occurred shortly after 11 p.m. Officers from the East Lyme Police were patrolling near Chesterfield Road when they spotted a vehicle registered to 33-year-old Stephen Nicholson.

While in the vicinity, the police noticed Nicholson’s car leaving a McDonald’s and heading north on Chesterfield Road. They quickly moved to stop the vehicle, resulting in Nicholson’s arrest based on the warrant.

Nicholson now faces a slew of charges. These include third-degree assault, two instances of second-degree stalking, two counts of making threats of the second degree, harassment of the second degree, coercion, disrupting an emergency call, and kidnapping of the second degree.

Currently, Nicholson is being held on a $250,000 bond. He is scheduled for a court appearance on Monday morning.
