Flint Welcomes All: Mid-Michigan Pet Expo Opens Its Doors to Pets and Their Human Companions

Flint, MI, is buzzing with excitement as the Mid-Michigan Pet Expo makes its much-anticipated return this month. The event will unfold over three days, from March 22 to March 24, at the Dort Financial Center, which is situated at 3501 Lapeer Road.

Ein Dog Training is the proud sponsor of this expo, which will feature an array of dog sports including flyball, dock diving, and barn hunt. Attendees will also enjoy the opportunity to meet baby farm animals, witness live police K9 demonstrations, and meet several adoptable pets looking for their forever homes.

Moreover, a pet talent show competition is on the agenda, thanks to Magoo’s Pet Outlet. Competitors can vie for titles such as best dressed, best trick, best smile, and the owner/dog lookalike contest. Interested participants can sign up for the talent show online.

A wide variety of vendors are expected to grace the event, offering everything from My Pet Leash Sleeve to Shocks Photography, Mega Kawaii Cuties, ChooBee Dog Toys, and many more.

The expo’s hours are set from 2-7 p.m. on Friday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 24.

Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for kids aged 13-17, and free for kids 12 and under as well as pets. Additionally, adults can receive a discount on their admission ticket by participating in a Genesee County Animal Control item drive.

Parking will be available at a rate of $5 per vehicle. This event is pet-friendly, welcoming all well-behaved, fully vaccinated pets. However, pet owners must complete a pet waiver and show proof of vaccination at the entrance.

Those bringing their pets should also remember to bring the necessary documents, including the pet waiver and proof of vaccinations for Rabies and DHPP, to check in at the door.

Volunteers who are eager to help out can sign up online. This event also serves as a benefit for Genesee County Animal Control, offering discounted admission for those who donate a needed shelter item.
