A pet parrot named Samba found its way back home after being tempted by Doritos. The 15-year-old Catalina macaw, also known as a rainbow macaw, had been stuck in a 40-foot tree in Lewisville, Texas, for three days. The bird’s owner, Giulio Ferrari, had tried everything to rescue his beloved pet, including seeking help from the fire department and tree climbers, but nothing worked until he offered the bird some Doritos.
Ferrari, who had been worried sick and unable to sleep, was overjoyed when Samba finally came down from the tree. He mentioned that he doesn’t usually give his pet junk food but was thankful that the Doritos did the trick this time. Ferrari humorously noted that Samba seemed to want the whole bag of chips, highlighting the special occasion by saying, “He can use the calories, and he’s getting happy now.”
After the successful rescue, Ferrari took Samba to the vet. Despite being attacked by hawks while in the tree, the bird appeared to be happy and in good health. This unique story of a parrot lured down from a tree by Doritos has captured the hearts of many.
