Video Captures Man Expelling Dog from Home in NE Miami-Dade; ‘Pepe’ Now Safe at Sunrise Animal Facility – WSVN 7News

In Sunrise, Florida, a brave dog is on the mend after a kind-hearted individual discovered it roaming a street in South Florida. This followed a harrowing ordeal captured on video.

A shocking surveillance clip revealed a seemingly intoxicated individual forcefully ejecting a dog from his residence. The footage captured him shouting, “Get the [expletive] out of my house.”

This unsettling event unfolded during the night from Thursday to Friday in Northeast Miami-Dade.

Shortly after, the video showed the individual grabbing a stick. However, his intention wasn’t to engage in a game of fetch but rather to drive the dog away from beneath a vehicle.

In response to the noise, another individual emerged from his home and intervened, positioning himself between the distressed dog and the irate man. He was heard demanding, “Get in your house.”

Thankfully, the dog managed to avoid further harm.

Now, the dog, affectionately named “Pepe,” is finding solace at Saving Sage Animal Rescue in Sunrise.

Veterinarian Stephanie Tores from Saving Sage Animal Rescue expressed her dismay, stating, “This poor dog was being kicked, he was being hit with a stick. It’s really so sad.”

Despite the rescue center being beyond its capacity, Tores ensured Pepe was accommodated. She now wishes for the perpetrator to be apprehended.

She highlighted the challenging conditions at the facility, saying, “We have [Pepe] here, and we barely have enough space for all these dogs at double our capacity, but we made some space for him. It’s really sad what happened to him.”

Local residents have reportedly informed the police about the identity of the assailant, and those caring for Pepe are eager for justice.

Tores appealed to the community, saying, “We hope that you guys can help us catch this man.”

As the investigation by Miami-Dade Animal Services progresses, no arrests had been made by late Saturday night.
