Chicago Bears Send QB Justin Fields to Pittsburgh Steelers in Exchange for 4th-Round Draft Pick, According to ESPN

On Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 11:41 PM, a significant announcement was made. The Chicago Bears have decided to trade quarterback Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers. This deal involves a 2025 sixth-round pick, which could potentially become a fourth-round pick depending on Fields’ playtime, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Following the trade, Fields took to social media to express his gratitude towards Chicago. This move places Fields alongside Russell Wilson in a completely revamped quarterback lineup for the Steelers. Notably, this lineup will not include any quarterbacks from the 2023 roster. This change comes right after the Steelers traded Kenny Pickett, their 2022 first-round pick, to the Eagles. Pickett had requested a trade after Wilson’s agreement with the Steelers was finalized late Sunday night.

However, Fields is not expected to challenge Wilson for the starting position. According to a team source, Fields is set to learn under the guidance of Wilson, a Super Bowl champion and nine-time Pro Bowler, in Pittsburgh.
