UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman has faced a recent health scare, yet he remains optimistic. After experiencing numbness in his arms and chest pain, he was taken back to a hospital in Toledo, Ohio. His daughter, Kenzie, shared this news on his Instagram account. Soon after, doctors diagnosed him with pneumonia. This diagnosis came just three days after he heroically saved his parents from a house fire.
Kenzie shared a video of Coleman in the hospital, showing that despite his challenges, he remains positive and spirited. She expressed gratitude for the support and love everyone has shown during this tough time. Coleman had inhaled a lot of smoke during the fire at his parents’ home and had to be flown to the hospital. Initially, his condition was critical, but he started to breathe on his own the following day. A heartwarming moment was captured when his daughters visited him in the hospital.
In a recent video, Coleman mentioned feeling unwell but remained determined, highlighting his sobriety and eagerness to start training again, despite being confined to a hospital bed. To assist with his medical expenses, Coleman’s family has set up a GoFundMe page. Kenzie promised to take excellent care of him, praising his resilience and strength. She also shared how much Coleman values his supporters, emphasizing his love for them and requesting continued prayers for his recovery.
Coleman has overcome significant challenges in the past, including a battle with alcoholism. He has since returned to training, taking on a role as a coach and mentor to UFC welterweight Matt Brown. He was also rumored to be considering a slap fight with former UFC champion Tim Sylvia.
