Tre’Davious White is gearing up for a busy week. The acclaimed former Buffalo Bills’ All-Pro cornerback is set to have meetings with the Los Angeles Rams and the Las Vegas Raiders this week, as reported by NFL Media.
At 29, White stands out as one of the most prominent free agents still on the market as the second week of free agency unfolds. His recent string of injuries likely plays a role in his current availability. A torn ACL in 2021 took him out of play for a whole year, and he also missed the final games of the 2023 season due to a torn Achilles.
Before these setbacks, White was recognized as one of the NFL’s top cornerbacks. Selected in the first round of the 2017 draft, he intercepted six passes and defended 26 more in his first two years with Buffalo. His performance peaked in 2019 when he led the league with six interceptions, earning All-Pro honors and helping the Bills secure a wild card playoff spot.
In 2020, White earned his second consecutive Pro Bowl selection, playing a key role in Buffalo’s journey to just one game shy of the Super Bowl.
This offseason, the Rams have already bolstered their defensive backfield by signing Darious Williams and Kamren Curl. Meanwhile, the Raiders are looking to build on a 2023 season that saw them rank 12th in the league for fewest passing yards allowed and 10th for fewest touchdown passes allowed.
