Marcus Morris Sr., standing at 6 feet 8 inches and weighing 235 pounds, has recently played in 37 games this season with the Philadelphia 76ers. On February 8th, he was part of a three-team trade that sent him to San Antonio, but he was released on February 29th. Throughout his 13-year career in the NBA, Morris Sr. has taken to the court in 820 games, starting 509 of them. He has played for teams including Houston, Phoenix, Detroit, Boston, New York, L.A. Clippers, and Philadelphia. His career statistics boast an average of 12.1 points, with a shooting accuracy of 43.5% from the field, 37.7% from beyond the arc, and 77.5% from the free-throw line. He also averages 4.5 rebounds over 26.7 minutes per game. In the playoffs, Morris Sr. has appeared in 67 games, starting 45, and has averaged 12.6 points and 5.1 rebounds over 30.1 minutes, with a three-point shooting percentage of 40.7%.
Before joining the NBA, Morris Sr. was drafted 14th overall by the Houston Rockets in the 2011 NBA Draft. His college years were spent at the University of Kansas from 2008 to 2011, where he left a significant mark by being named the Big 12 Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Year for the 2010-11 season.
