Jimmie Allen Reaches Settlement in Sexual Assault Lawsuit with Ex-Manager, Reports WSOC TV

A former manager of country singer Jimmie Allen has decided to withdraw her lawsuit in which she accused him of sexual assault.

In a recent legal document submission, lawyers representing both Allen, aged 38, and the accuser, referred to as Jane Doe, requested a federal judge in the Middle District of Tennessee to dismiss her allegations. This request came alongside Allen’s decision to retract his defamation lawsuit against his former day-to-day manager.

The lawsuit was initiated by the woman in May 2023. She claimed that during her tenure as Allen’s manager from 2020 to 2022, she was sexually assaulted and harassed by the singer. Her lawsuit also targeted Wide Open Music, the management company that employed her, and its founder, Ash Bowers.

The legal filing accused Bowers of failing to protect her upon becoming aware of the alleged misconduct.

Despite the settlement with Allen, the lawsuit against the music company and Bowers is ongoing.

In July 2023, Allen filed a countersuit against the woman, accusing her of defamation, invasion of privacy, and causing emotional distress, as a response to the lawsuit and the media attention it garnered.

The woman’s legal team from FeganScott confirmed that a settlement had been reached, leading to the dismissal of the claims and counterclaims. They stated, “FeganScott can confirm that Jane Doe and Jimmie Allen have reached a mutual accord as to Plaintiff’s claims and Mr. Allen’s counterclaims and have agreed to dismiss them. This decision is a reflection of both parties’ desire to move beyond the litigation.”

The statement further explained that the plaintiff is continuing her legal battle against Williams Bowers Management, also known as Wide Open Music, and one of its key figures, Ash Bowers, for their involvement in the matter.

Allen chose not to comment on the matter through a spokesperson.

Additionally, Allen is embroiled in another lawsuit where a different “Jane Doe” alleges that he assaulted her in a Las Vegas hotel room and secretly recorded the incident. This case is still pending. In response, Allen has countersued, claiming the woman stole the phone he allegedly used for recording.

Jimmie Allen, known for his contributions to country music, has had a significant career highlighted by performances such as his appearance at the 55th annual Country Music Association awards in Nashville, Tennessee, in November 2021.
