Mark Wahlberg Relocates to Las Vegas to Support His Children’s Passions

Mark Wahlberg and his loved ones are getting used to their new life in Nevada.

In 2022, Wahlberg took a significant step by relocating his family from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. He shared with People that this move was in the best interest of his children.

He expressed that Nevada offers a nurturing environment for his kids to grow and chase their dreams. This conversation was highlighted in an article on March 17.

Wahlberg, alongside his wife Rhea Durham, to whom he has been married for nearly 15 years, have four children together: Ella, 20, Michael, 17, Brendan, 15, and Grace, 14.

The actor, who is 52 years old, announced the family’s relocation in an October 2022 episode of “The Talk.” He mentioned his desire to provide his children with a superior lifestyle.

Wahlberg emphasized the importance of being home whenever possible. He moved to California years ago to pursue acting but ended up making only a few movies during that time.

He further explained that relocating was a strategic decision to support his children’s aspirations, including his daughter’s interest in equestrian sports, his son’s basketball ambitions, and his younger son’s golfing pursuits.

In April 2023, Wahlberg updated E! News on how his family was adapting to Las Vegas. He revealed that they were very happy with the move.

He reflected on his time in L.A., pursuing his career, and noted that it was now time for his children to follow their passions in Las Vegas, where they were flourishing.

Despite rumors of another move when he sold a property in Nevada, Wahlberg clarified to TODAY.com in October 2023 that his family had simply transitioned from one house to another. They initially moved into a temporary residence before settling into their current home, with plans to build both a studio and a family home.

Wahlberg confessed he misses California and its weather but emphasized that his children are thriving in their new Las Vegas home.
