In a shocking incident in Texas, a man was found deceased on Friday. This came after a distress call to 911 by a woman claiming she had shot her abductor.

The caller, a 45-year-old woman from Montgomery, reached out to 911 around 12:40 p.m. She reported that she had shot an individual following her kidnapping and drugging, as stated by the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office.

Initially, the location of the woman was unknown. However, deputies later found her near a winery on East U.S. Highway 290.

Upon discovery, she provided details to the deputies about the vehicle and the weapon involved.

A deputy discovered the vehicle stopped in the westbound traffic lane and found a deceased man in the front seat, confirmed later by officials.

The identity of the woman was not immediately disclosed, though it was shared that she is 45 years old and resides in Montgomery.

The deceased was identified as 49-year-old Lance Damon Reid, who lived in the Houston area. Details regarding Reid or the circumstances of his death were not provided immediately.

Following the incident, the woman was transported to a local hospital for an interview with an investigator. The current condition of the woman has not been updated by the authorities.

The investigation is still active, with no additional information being released at this moment.
