‘Station 19’ Creators Urge Fans to Engage and Tweet Throughout the Show’s Last Season

Tonight marks the premiere of the seventh and final season of “Station 19,” and showrunners Zoanne Clack, MD, MPH, and Peter Paige have shared their advice for the show’s dedicated fans who are rallying to save it.

Paige emphasized the importance of viewership, stating in a recent conversation with Deadline, “They gotta watch.”

Clack added that fans are already doing everything possible to support the show.

Paige highlighted the efforts fans have made, including placing advertisements in USA Today and billboards in Times Square, but reiterated the necessity of watching the show.

Clack also mentioned the benefit of fans discussing the show on social media while it airs.

The #SaveStation19 movement has seen fans going to great lengths to keep the show alive since its cancellation was announced in December. Paige noted their efforts, including billboards in Times Square and Hollywood, and advertisements on social media.

A tweet from the Save Station 19 campaign showcased the passion of the fans with a billboard in LA, emphasizing how “Station 19” has inspired and uplifted communities worldwide.

As reported by Deadline in December, “Station 19” has become ABC’s second most popular drama series, thanks in part to crossovers with “Grey’s Anatomy.” The show has been praised for addressing significant and challenging topics, earning a Sentinel Award for its portrayal of systemic racism in its sixth season.

Before concluding, “Station 19” will celebrate its 100th episode during its seventh season, which has been shortened to 10 episodes due to the Hollywood strikes. To date, the series has aired 95 episodes.

Clack teased what fans can expect in the final season, promising exciting and amazing storytelling. She and Paige are dedicated to continuing the show’s tradition of inclusive storytelling, with a mix of action-packed and more intimate episodes planned.

Clack expressed hope that fans would appreciate the diverse storytelling and the journeys of the beloved characters within the firefighting realm, promising to explore new dimensions in the upcoming season.
