Two Dead, Five Injured in Washington, DC Shooting Incident

In the early hours of a Sunday morning, a tragic event unfolded at a recreational facility in Washington, D.C., leaving two people dead and five others injured. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. EDT, close to the intersection of 7th Street and P St. Northwest, near the Kennedy Recreation Center.

The Metropolitan Police Department reported on the incident. During a press briefing, Executive Assistant Chief Jeffrey Carroll shared that all the victims were adults. Tragically, two individuals were declared dead at the location.
