‘Boy Meets World’ Stars Reunite for Documentary on Their Hit Podcast Series

Members of the “Boy Meets World” cast, including Danielle Fishel (Topanga Lawrence), Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter), Will Friedle (Eric Matthews), Trina McGee (Angela Moore), William Daniels (Mr. Feeny), Bonnie Bartlett Daniels (Dean Lila Bolander), Betsy Randle (Amy Matthews), William Russ (Alan Matthews), and Anthony Tyler Quinn (Jonathan Turner), recently gathered for a special panel. This event took place at the ’90s Con in Hartford, Connecticut, on a Saturday.

“Boy Meets World,” a beloved series, aired on ABC from 1993 to 2000, spanning seven seasons. Following its success, a spinoff titled “Girl Meets World” aired on the Disney Channel from 2014 to 2017, lasting three seasons.

During the reunion, Fishel, Strong, and Friedle, who together host the “Pod Meets World” podcast, teased the fans with news about a potential new project.

Fishel expressed uncertainty about the project’s future, emphasizing the strong bond among the cast members. She highlighted how their connection deepened, especially after initiating the podcast and hosting live shows.

Fishel revealed that Rider Strong, the podcast’s idea originator, proposed documenting their experiences, pondering whether to create a documentary.

She admitted they possess footage from the show but lack extensive behind-the-scenes material.

Fishel shared Strong’s vision of preserving their current experiences for future reflection, mentioning that a small film crew has been capturing moments from their live shows and personal gatherings.

Despite the possibility that this documentary may never be publicly released, Fishel conveyed their excitement about the project, viewing it as a cherished keepsake for the cast.
