On Monday, federal agents from Homeland Security Investigations, along with other law enforcement bodies, conducted searches at two properties owned by rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs located in Los Angeles and Miami. These actions are part of a broader sex trafficking probe underway in New York. The exact focus of the investigation remains unclear, and whether Combs is directly targeted has not been confirmed. These details come from two law enforcement officials who chose to remain anonymous due to the sensitive nature of the ongoing investigation.
Homeland Security Investigations released a statement confirming the execution of law enforcement actions as part of this continuing investigation, with support from their Los Angeles and Miami branches, alongside local law enforcement partners. Attempts to reach Combs’ legal and representative teams for comments have so far gone unanswered.
In recent times, Combs has faced multiple sexual assault lawsuits. A notable case filed in February by a music producer accuses Combs of forcing him to procure prostitutes and pressuring him into sexual activities with them. Combs’ attorney, Shawn Holley, has refuted these allegations, claiming to possess irrefutable evidence proving the accusations to be entirely false.
Furthermore, Combs’ former protégé and girlfriend, R&B singer Cassie, brought a lawsuit against him in November, alleging years of sexual abuse, including rape. The lawsuit accuses Combs of coercing her into sexual acts with male prostitutes while he recorded the encounters. This lawsuit was settled promptly, just a day after its filing.
Another accusation against Combs comes from a woman who claims he raped her two decades ago when she was 17. The Associated Press typically refrains from naming individuals who report being sexually abused unless they choose to come forward publicly, as Cassie has done.
In response to these allegations, Combs has firmly stated, “I did not do any of the awful things being alleged.”
