Taylor Zakhar Perez, the standout actor from Amazon’s beloved romantic comedy “Red, White & Royal Blue,” has recently inked a deal with Paradigm for representation. In this adaptation of Casey McQuiston’s New York Times bestseller, directed by Matthew Lopez, Perez shines as Alex Claremont-Diaz. Portraying the son of the American President (played by Uma Thurman), his character’s rivalry with a British prince (Nicholas Galitzine) nearly disrupts U.S.-British relations until a forced truce between them ignites an unexpected connection.
The film, brought to life by producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schecter, made a splash in August 2023, claiming the top spot as the most-watched movie globally on Prime Video during its opening weekend. It maintained this position as the platform’s leading film worldwide for the first three weeks following its debut. Amazon praised the movie for significantly boosting new Prime membership signups, ranking it among the top three most-watched romantic comedies ever on Prime Video.
Before his role in “Red, White & Royal Blue,” Perez was already turning heads with his performances in Netflix’s immensely successful young adult film series “The Kissing Booth,” based on Beth Reekles’ novels, appearing in its second and third chapters. He also starred in the first season of Max’s critically acclaimed series “Minx,” alongside Ophelia Lovibond, and featured in Buzzfeed Studios’ “1UP,” available on Prime Video.
Adding to his accolades, Perez was recently honored as a SAG Awards Ambassador for the 30th annual SAG Awards, a recognition bestowed upon actors who embody the highest standards of the profession. Alongside his new representation with Paradigm, Perez continues to be managed by Principal Entertainment LA and Felker Toczek Suddleson, further solidifying his status as a rising star in the entertainment industry.
