Timothee Chalamet Inks Major Deal with Warner Bros. Following Success of Wonka and Dune

Warner Bros. is intensifying its commitment to Timothée Chalamet by entering into a multi-year agreement with the actor. This deal not only involves Chalamet starring in upcoming films but also sees him stepping into a producer role for future projects.

Chalamet has proven to be a box office goldmine for Warner Bros., leading the charge in consecutive hits with “Wonka,” which raked in $632 million worldwide, and “Dune: Part Two,” amassing $575 million globally and still counting. His achievements have made him the first actor in forty years to lead the top two domestic releases within an eight-month span.

Following these box office successes, Chalamet is set to receive a significant increase in his salary. Having earned over $8 million for his role in “Wonka,” sources now indicate that his future leading roles in studio films will command salaries in the double-digit millions.

Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group’s co-chairs and CEOs, Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, expressed their excitement about Chalamet choosing the studio as his creative base. The first-look deal allows Chalamet the freedom to explore projects outside Warner Bros., though the studio will have the first opportunity to support his potential ventures.

De Luca and Abdy praised Chalamet’s dedication to his craft and his commitment to every project, whether with Warner Bros. or other ventures. They highlighted his active involvement in the promotional campaigns for “Dune” and “Wonka,” attributing the success of these projects to his contributions.

Chalamet, renowned for his acting prowess in Oscar-nominated films such as “Call Me by Your Name,” “Lady Bird,” “Little Women,” and “Dune,” has also ventured into production. He produced and starred in Luca Guadagnino’s “Bones and All,” alongside Taylor Russell, and is currently involved in producing James Mangold’s Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown.”

Reflecting on his experiences working with Mike De Luca, Pam Abdy, and their teams on “Wonka” and “Dune,” Chalamet expressed his gratitude for their belief in genuine filmmaking. He looks forward to continuing this partnership, emphasizing its natural progression and his enthusiasm for future collaborations.

Chalamet is represented by Brian Swardstrom, UTA, Ginsburg Daniels Kallis, and Relevant.
