Nintendo is rumored to be preparing some big releases for the upcoming Switch 2.
There’s buzz around one of the most awaited role-playing games ever making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2. So far, Nintendo has kept quiet about developing a new console to follow the Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED. Despite numerous believable rumors, Nintendo has not shared any details about future hardware. However, it seems the next big RPG from Atlus might be announced for the new Nintendo platform once the company breaks its silence.
A reliable source known for Sega-related leaks, @MbKKssTBhz5, shared new details suggesting that Atlus plans to launch Persona 6 on the Nintendo Switch 2 eventually. Although neither the Nintendo Switch 2 nor Persona 6 has been officially announced, recent reports suggest that Persona 6 could be released in 2025. This would mark an eight-year interval since Persona 5’s release in 2017.
This long wait has made Persona 6 one of the most eagerly awaited RPGs in recent memory. In the meantime, Atlus has been busy with various spin-offs of the Persona series and has also remade Persona 3 as Persona 3 Reload. It has been mentioned before that Persona 3 Reload is expected to be available on the Nintendo Switch 2, even though it’s currently only on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
Amidst all these rumors, the biggest question remains: when will the Nintendo Switch 2 launch? It was previously rumored that Nintendo aimed for a late 2024 release for their next console. However, recent reports suggest that the launch has been delayed to 2025. If this is true, it might be a while before Nintendo unveils the Switch 2. Meanwhile, titles like Princess Peach: Showtime, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD are scheduled to release on the current Switch model in the coming months.
