In the early hours of a Sunday morning, a tragic event unfolded at a recreational facility in Washington, D.C., leaving two people dead and five others injured. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. EDT, close to the intersection of 7th Street and P St. Northwest, near the Kennedy Recreation Center.
The Metropolitan Police Department reported on the incident. During a press briefing, Executive Assistant Chief Jeffrey Carroll shared that all the victims were adults. Tragically, two individuals were declared dead at the location.
Carroll also mentioned that the injured victims were promptly taken to nearby hospitals for medical attention. However, the current state of their health was not disclosed.
