Authorities Launch Manhunt for Suspect in Stabbing Case

In Morgan City, Louisiana, the police are on the hunt for a suspect linked to an attempted second-degree murder case. The authorities have identified the suspect as 42-year-old Joshua Pojar.

The search for Pojar began after an incident that occurred late at night on March 17, 2024. Officers were called to a residence on Federal Avenue following reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they discovered a victim who was quickly transported to a hospital. The victim is currently in a stable yet critical condition.

Investigations suggest that an argument between Pojar and the victim escalated, leading to the stabbing. It’s believed that after the altercation, Pojar fled the scene and took refuge in a nearby building. Despite efforts from the St. Mary Parish Inter Agency Special Response Team to enter the building, Pojar was nowhere to be found. The Morgan City Police Department’s Detectives Division has since secured and is processing the scene.

An arrest warrant for attempted second-degree murder has been issued for Joshua Pojar. He is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, and having brown hair.

The Morgan City Police Department is appealing to the public for any information regarding Pojar’s whereabouts. They encourage anyone with information to contact them at (985) 380-4605.
