In Fall River, a teenage resident has been apprehended and faces murder charges following the fatal shooting of Colus Jamal Mills-Good on Rock Street on March 14.
Nineteen-year-old Amannie Chiclana from Fall River was taken into custody in Stoughton by a collaborative effort of the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section, State Police Detectives from District Attorney Tom Quinn’s office, and the Fall River Police. Chiclana is set to be arraigned on Friday morning at the Fall River District Court, facing charges of murder and illegal firearm possession, as announced in a press release by the District Attorney’s office.
Additionally, Jadyn Ortiz, Xzavien Figueroa-Valcarel, and Giovanni Nunes, all 19 and residents of Fall River, have been charged with being accessories to murder after the fact and are currently detained on bail.
The Massachusetts State Police detectives, alongside the Fall River Police and Homicide Unit prosecutors, are diligently working on the homicide investigation under the coordination of Assistant District Attorney Jason Mohan, who will also oversee the arraignment proceedings on Friday.
The Fall River Police were called to the scene at the intersection of Rock and Franklin streets on Thursday, March 19, at approximately 11:41 a.m., following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered a young male victim with gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as 18-year-old Colus Jamal Mills-Good from Fall River, was immediately transported to Saint Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
