The Kansas City Royals are introducing a fresh highlight to their Dollar Dog Night at Kauffman Stadium, with Vienna Beef stepping up as the new exclusive hot dog provider starting from the Opening Day of 2024. This announcement, made on Tuesday, follows closely on the heels of the Royals’ recent switch in their beverage partnership from Pepsi to Coke. This change is part of a series of exciting updates as the team gears up to propose the relocation of their ballpark to downtown Kansas City in less than two weeks.
Hailing from Chicago, Vienna Beef boasts over a century of experience in the hot dog industry. The company has entered into a multi-year agreement with The K, marking a significant partnership. “Vienna Beef is thrilled to join forces with the Kansas City Royals. With 131 years of delivering quality, craftsmanship, and flavor, we’re eager to share our premium hot dogs with fans at the games. We’re confident that Royals enthusiasts will enjoy the finest hot dogs available!” exclaimed Timothy O’Brien, President of Vienna Beef. He also highlighted the availability of Vienna Beef hot dogs at various local restaurants, expressing enthusiasm for expanding the brand’s presence in the area. “Go Royals!” he added.
In addition to providing hot dogs, Vienna Beef will proudly sponsor the much-loved Teenie Weenie HotDog Race, a fixture at Sunday home games. The brand’s name will also be featured on electronic menu boards and home plate signage during selected games, enhancing its visibility at The K.
“Offering exceptional ballpark food significantly enhances the fan experience at Royals games. Our new partnership with Vienna Beef elevates our food offerings, ensuring that fans enjoy top-notch quality when they visit The K,” said Alex Schulte, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the Kansas City Royals. He expressed excitement about the collaboration with the iconic hot dog brand, promising an unparalleled experience for fans.
Vienna Beef also offers an online locator tool, making it easy for fans to find dozens of Vienna Beef vendors in the Kansas City area, including at metro Freddy’s Frozen Custards and Shake, ensuring that the best hot dogs are never far away for Royals fans.
